What if I’ve never used Amazon Web Services or Amazon WorkSpaces before ?

No problem!

This course is intended for total beginners or anyone interested in a using WorkSpaces in the shortest possible time , all in one place.

Do I need to open an AWS Account before signing up for the course ?

You need to have an AWS account. However you can open it while taking up the course.

The course provides instructions for creating AWS account.

What are the things which I should have for opening an AWS account ?

You need to ensure that you have email id , mobile and credit card handy for opening an AWS account under free tier.

Will I incur any charges for using AWS WorkSpaces ?

You can open a new AWS Account as the new AWS account will be eligible for free tier upto 12 months.

Free tier comes with 1 Windows Standard, 1 Windows performance bundle, 1 Windows Value bundle and 2 Linux Standard bundle WorkSpaces.

We are going to use one of these bundles in the course so we do not expect any AWS charges.

However if you are using any other services you may incur charges. As a best practice you should set free tier alerts in your AWS account so that you will be notified if you are going to cross the threshold under free tier.

Do I need have Windows or Mac or Linux machine to access this course ?

You can use any of your current laptop of desktop with any of the Operating System provided above.

Do I need to know any programming language before I sign up for this course ?
